With a childhood steeped in a variety of musical activity, from conducting choirs, managing church organ performances, arranging and teaching musical arrangements to fellow school mates, to writing songs for school and church functions, Nicki was offered a place at the Conservatorium of Music at the tender age of 17 and spent her first year in its recording studio recording her first album while juggling classes and singing gigs. By the age of 20, this creative entrepreneur had already collected a wealth of information about the music industry, media and her greatest love of all – business.
In the years post Conservatorium of Music, in amongst rearing four children, Nicki has morphed between Recording and Touring Artist, Artist Management, Producer, Composer to Entertainment Agent, Front Line Business Manager, Systems Software Designer, Workplace Trainer and Assessor, to Event Manager, Publicist, Brand Consultant to Author and Philosopher. It’s been quite a journey – quite a story!
A marriage of both her creative and system design talents has forged a successful 30 year career in the Australian Music Industry, being CEO and Education Director for The Pushworth Group (recognised as one of Australia's leading Entertainment Agencies) for 20 of those years.
Nominated for national Australian awards – the Telstra Business awards, Nicki holds qualifications in Teaching, Business Management Systems, (Six Sigma) Philosophy, Human Behaviour, Workplace Training, Business Management and Musical Performance. Designing the software program, Aquarius - an integrated CRM booking system that manages the sales and operations for entertainment industry businesses (managing Pushworth since 2000), Nicki is also the author of a collection of Industry Training and Social Responsibility programs and works in partnership with Universities and Organizations throughout Queensland developing programs for Interns, Traineeships and Volunteers in the Entertainment and Event industries.
While surfing the Personal Development wave for the past decade and has studying Human Behaviour with experts such as Dr John F Demartini, Robert Scheinfeld, Robert Fritz and The Magicians Way, Nicki has worked as a Senior Facilitator for The Demartini Method ™ in London, Dublin and across Australia with Dr John F Demartini while also establishing and managing several Personal Development Community Associations since 2005 and co-founding The Concourse of the Earth™ – a not for profit organisation conducting research in the field of Business Behaviors.
Specializing in working with brands in the discovery of their unique system – the structure that adds value to their bottom line, Nicki uses her own signature method The Metriculus™ to measure the wealth of every brand. For Nicki, every company is the ultimate story – an economy, a culture, a philosophy, a currency, a stage show, a factory, an identity, a community and a family – and for her there is gold in every story.
The Business/Personal Development Columnist for the Inner Self Magazine, Nicki was nominated as an “Influential Woman of the 21st Century” in the January 2010 Edition of the magazine.
