We, the late Baby Boomers and Generation X, have the government that we deserve

We, the late Baby Boomers and Generation X, have the government that we deserve.
Why?
While we attempted to swim between the flags of rejection of our parent’s values and the discovery of our own in the twilight before technology flowed through every vein of our lives, the last comic book heroes and villains, capitalised on our mass “comfortably numbness” and delivered what we now know is the death knell of our present political structure. This is the “Soap Opera” we had to have. :-)
To contrast, thanks for the most part to technology, Generation Y has little emotional attachment to legacy values – they shape their own cultures based on their social experiences in particular with our global hunger for entertainment and distraction via our spoon fed media. Their very public on line survival has facilitated the development of complex leverage strategies and this is the key to their understanding of the “game”.
Australia is experiencing a widespread cultural shift and as such finds itself in a unique position of opportunity both globally and locally. Recognising the “sell” of the politics in its current circus format and self organising in preparation for a new political structure are the intelligence hallmarks of a handful of politicians in Australia at the moment. Never underestimate the power of the daily comic strip that the media delivers to us in its skewed portrayals based solely on the value of the advertising spend!
We have a great leader in our midst and the future of our country – our children and their children - would benefit from his wisdom and vision. However in order for him to be perceived by the Australian sheeple as “intelligent” he would have to play a game that he is simply unwilling to play. That price is too high. Until we look beyond our antiquated education system and skewed media and see through the veil at the REAL story and not the fairy tale that we are asked day in and day out to believe, then we will continue to get the pathetic excuse for a government that we have now.

Never Come Back

"Before a new chapter is begun, the old one has to be finished: tell yourself that what has passed will never come back. Remember that there was a time when you could live without that thing or that person – nothing is irreplaceable, a habit is not a need." Paolo Coelho

Wise and Frugal

Thomas Jefferson said - "A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circlue of our felicities."

For My Valentine - He Knows Who He Is

"The soil needs the seed, and the seed needs the soil. One only has meaning with the other. The same thing happens with human beings. When male knowledge comes together with female transformation, then the great magical union takes place, which is called Wisdom. "Brida - Paulo Coelho"

The Most Beautiful thing

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed." Albert Einstein

Religion

"My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind." Albert Einstein

Nothing Gold Can Stay

    Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

    Robert Frost
